Appearance
A male orc of typical size and strength, scarred from a fall down a shaft in the Underdark. His features are plain for his kind.
Personality
Ront is mean, stupid, and hateful. He bullies the other prisoners—particularly those weaker than himself—unless someone stands up to him. Though physically strong, Ront is fundamentally cowardly and knows Gruumsh, god of the orcs, is punishing him. He is easily intimidated by authority figures and those who display greater power.
Role in Campaign
Ront was captured by the drow while participating in a band of orcs pillaging settlements in the Underdark. Before being brought to Velkenvelve, he fell down a shaft and wandered the Underdark. His behavior during captivity is typical of his kind: he intimidates other prisoners unless someone stands up to him.
He is one of the ten other prisoners held alongside the player characters in the slave pen. Unless the party members intervene, Ront's threatening behavior toward fellow prisoners can escalate into confrontation.

Background
Ront is an orc from the Iceshield tribe, a group that raids and pillages throughout the Underdark. He was captured during one such raid and brought to Velkenvelve where he performs menial labor for the drow overseers. Since his capture and imprisonment, he remains one of the prisoner group's most volatile and dangerous members.
