Background
Wulfgar, son of Beornegar, is one of the Companions of the Hall — Drizzt Do'Urden's companions from Icewind Dale. He wielded Aegis-fang, a warhammer forged with dwarven runes that returns to his hand after being thrown.
He was held captive by Errtu for six years — tortured, broken psychologically, remade. Errtu used him as a demonstration of cruelty. Wulfgar survived it. He died and was reincarnated, returned to the world, and carried six years of that experience with him ever after.
When Zariel organised the allied response to Errtu's emergence at The Scar, she brought Wulfgar. She understood that some debts can only be paid in person. This was closure. This was the last chapter of a story that had been open for longer than Wulfgar cared to remember.
At The Scar
Wulfgar said nothing when he arrived. He didn't need to. Aegis-fang said it for him.
When Errtu saw Wulfgar across the crater, something flickered in the demon's face — the first real fear he'd shown. "You're DEAD. I watched you die. I MADE you die, a thousand times—"
Wulfgar's response: "I got better."
He raised Aegis-fang.
After the battle, when Errtu's form was already discorporating, Wulfgar stepped forward one last time — not to kill (Errtu was already done) but to end something. To look the monster in the eye and say: I survived you. I outlived you. And I am still standing.
Karlach put a hand on his shoulder after. He stood over the spot where Errtu fell for a long moment. Then, slowly, his shoulders dropped. Something released.
He lingered a few hours, then departed with the others — reluctant to leave, as if he needed to make sure Errtu was truly gone.

- He shares a canon connection to Drizzt Do'Urden — does that become relevant to the campaign?
