Arveiaturace
Also known as: The White Wyrm | In-party shorthand: "Arveiaturace"
Background
Arveiaturace — called The White Wyrm in northern lore — is an ancient white dragon of immense power, known across the Sword Coast's northern reaches. Unlike most of her kin, she has a long history of bonding with a single humanoid companion.
Her original companion/rider died circa 1499 DR, leaving her unbound. In the years that followed, she was claimed by Alek (the figure known in this campaign as Caladorn), who established a bond with her through means that remain undisclosed. By 1508 DR — the present day of this campaign — that bond is long-established and deep.
Role in Campaign
Arc C — Icewind Dale / Northern Sea Voyage (C01–08)
The party first encountered Arveiaturace during the northern sea voyage in the Icewind Dale arc. She was spotted as an ancient white dragon — the "White Wyrm" — on the approach and arrived with Caladorn when he responded to Kavu's contact. She served as Caladorn's mount and presence.
Session 2 — The Scar
Arveiaturace arrived alongside Caladorn, Zariel, Karlak, and Wolfgar at The Scar during the emergence of Ertu. She fought as part of the allied force that defeated and banished Ertu. How the allies knew to come — and whether Arveiaturace herself sensed the planar rupture — is unknown.
