Basic Info

Type Demon Lord
Title The Dark Prince
Status Active — Abyssal
Pact Status Fulfilled — at Sloobludop

Relationships

Bound Othorion (pact fulfilled)
Instrument Blip Blop Pod

The most sophisticated of the demon lords. Where others destroy, he manipulates. He appeared to Othorion in a prison courtyard, offered him his own memories back, and got him to unknowingly open a door that let every demon lord in the Abyss into the Underdark. He considers this a success.

Who He Is

Grazzt rules the Triple Realm — three Abyssal layers he has conquered and combined into a single domain of dark splendour. He is the most humanoid-appearing of the major demon lords: tall, black-skinned, six-fingered, and handsome in a way that makes people uneasy. He deals in pleasure, manipulation, and the kind of cruelty that looks like kindness until you're already inside it.

He is not the Prince of Demons — Demogorgon holds that title, and Grazzt resents it. He prefers to operate through agents, proxies, and carefully constructed situations where someone else believes they made a free choice.

The Deal with Othorion

At Revel's End (Session B18)

Grazzt manifested to Othorion in the courtyard of Revel's End prison, appearing in a sequence of guises — Valeria, then Prisoner 218 (Lireal), then Eilistraee — before revealing himself. He offered to return Othorion's stolen memories: the ones Artemis Entreri had stripped using Styx water at One-Eyed Jax.

The terms: travel to Sloobludop and protect the ritual of Blip Blop Pod, a kuo-toa archpriest. Allow it to complete.

Othorion accepted. The binding was formed.

At Sloobludop

Othorion fulfilled the deal. He protected the ritual. It completed.

The ritual tore open a conduit between the Underdark and the Abyss and summoned all the demon lords into the Underdark. Demogorgon rose from the Darklake and destroyed Sloobludop. The party fled.

Grazzt's end of the bargain — Othorion's memories restored — was delivered (exact timing underdocumented; confirm with GM).
