A massive chasm in the mid-Underdark, spanned by a 20-foot-wide stone bridge covered in glowing runes. The runes warn against flying, magic, and most critically: listening to the voices.

The Psychic Bridge

The bridge is laced with whispers that attack each person who crosses psychically — probing for weakness and compelling them to step off the edge. Multiple party members failed their saves during the crossing:

• Othorion failed and walked off the edge
• Others followed, overcome by predatory psychic urges

Lolth, a drow priestess who identified herself as Lolth's prisoner queen, appeared and rescued the entire party — returning them unharmed to the bridge. She then requested a favor.

The Crack and Lolth's Abyss

At the base of the chasm — visible through the crack the party fell toward — is a rift connecting to the Abyss. Lolth's domain is accessible through this crack. The party briefly glimpsed the Abyss, the spiderweb-wrapped realm of the Spider Queen, before being pulled back by Arachne.

• What favor does Lolth want? Has it been paid?
• Did the party's brief Abyss exposure leave any lasting effects on Othorion or others who failed saves?
• Arachne called herself Lolth's prisoner — is she truly imprisoned, or is she a piece of Lolth's will?
