Failure (Arcana check failed): Violent thunder damage to the invoker. Exhaustion levels imposed. Roland failed the check and suffered 8 levels of exhaustion in Session 4.
History
Discovery
Found in the Tarrasque's Appendix Sanctuary (Session 3) alongside Ilsa Haze and Rump-a-Dump, who revealed it to the party.
Session 4 — First Use
Roland attempted to invoke BECKONALOTH then ZUMGALOTH outside the Tarrasque. He failed the Arcana check and suffered violent thunder damage and 8 levels of exhaustion. Haldak took control and successfully invoked the commands. The Tarrasque fell asleep.
Current Status
The Tarrasque is sleeping in an Underdark cavern. The party has demonstrated the Titan's Tooth works. The weapon remains in party possession.
GM Notes
Implications
The party now holds the means to wake and command the Tarrasque at will. This is an enormous potential liability and resource.
The Tooth's Origin
"Blightspore" as an alternate name may hint at a connection to fungal entities or the Underdark ecosystem. The Tarrasque accepted the command — implying the Tooth's authority is legitimate and old.
